From two locals
to your second
home
Marco and Maggi grew up here, raised their family here, and built Valley Center Fitness to give the community a place to get strong — together.
How It Started
The story of VCF
Two Valley Center kids
Maggi and Marco grew up in Valley Center and graduated from Valley Center High School in 2001. After marrying on June 1, 2002, they moved to Hawaii to start their journey together.
Service & school
Marco honorably served in the U.S. Army for five years while Maggi earned her BSN at Hawaii Pacific University — the start of two careers built around serving others.
Careers as public servants
Back on the mainland, Marco became a firefighter for Rincon Fire Department and Maggi an RN at Palomar Hospital, where she worked for 15 years. She now works at Kaiser as a labor & delivery nurse.
Becoming owners — 8 days before lockdown
In March 2020 they were offered the chance to serve their community in a new way and became owners of Valley Center Fitness. Eight days later they had to close for three months due to Covid. "It was a blessing in disguise," they say — that time let them build the culture and environment members know and love today.
A family affair
Marco and Maggi have two amazing teenagers, Kaila and Daine — both on the VCF team. As a family they love camping, their kids' sports, and taking care of their chickens and dogs. As owners, they're committed to giving the community a safe place to improve fitness, health and wellness.
Who We Are
What makes us

Veteran-Owned
Built on the discipline and service ethic Marco carried from the Army and the fire service.
Family-Run
